JXL to ICO Converter

While JXL (JPEG XL) is a modern and versatile image format, ICO (Windows Icon) serves a very specific purpose:

• Favicons: The primary use of ICO is for favicons (the small icon displayed in browser tabs, bookmarks, and address bars). While modern browsers support PNG for favicons, ICO remains the most universally supported format, especially for older browsers or specific environments.
• Windows Icons: ICO is the native format for icons on Windows operating systems (e.g., desktop shortcuts, application icons, folder icons).
• Multiple Sizes in One File: An ICO file can contain multiple images of different resolutions and color depths, allowing the operating system or browser to pick the most appropriate size for display, ensuring crispness across various contexts.
• Legacy Compatibility: For maximum compatibility across all platforms and devices, especially when dealing with older systems, ICO is often the safest choice for icons.

1. Upload JXL Files: Drag and drop your JXL images, or click to select files. The tool will decode them in your browser.
