Static or Animated: You Choose
GIF is a versatile format, famous for both simple graphics and looping animations. This tool gives you the power to create both from any PDF document.
- Static GIFs: Convert individual PDF pages into separate, high-quality GIF images. This is perfect for logos, diagrams, or simple graphics where you need transparency and a small file size.
- Animated GIFs: Select multiple pages in your PDF and combine them into a single animated GIF. You can control the delay between each frame to create simple slideshows, presentations, or animations directly from your document.
How to Convert PDF to GIF
- Upload PDF File: Drag and drop your PDF, or click to select a file. The tool will load the document and generate page previews.
- Select Pages: Click on the thumbnails of the pages you want to include in your GIF(s). For animations, the order you select them in matters.
- Choose Animation Option: In the settings, use the switch to enable "Create Animated GIF". If enabled, set your desired frame delay in milliseconds.
- Adjust Settings (Optional): Add a prefix or suffix for the output filenames.
- Convert: Click the "Convert" button to start the process.
- Download: Download your generated GIF file(s). If you created static GIFs, you can download them all at once in a ZIP archive.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are my PDF files uploaded to a server?
No. All processing, including PDF parsing, page rendering, and GIF encoding, is performed directly in your web browser using JavaScript. Your files never leave your computer, ensuring complete privacy and security.
What is "Frame Delay"?
Frame delay is the amount of time each page (or "frame") is displayed in an animated GIF before moving to the next one. It's measured in milliseconds (ms), where 1000ms equals 1 second. A smaller number means a faster animation.
Is there a limit to the number of pages for an animated GIF?
While there's no hard limit, creating an animated GIF with many high-resolution pages can be memory-intensive and may cause your browser to slow down or become unresponsive. We recommend starting with 10-20 pages for the best performance.
Why does the static GIF conversion seem faster?
Creating a true animated GIF requires a complex encoding process that analyzes each frame and builds the final file. For static GIFs, this tool uses a simple and fast placeholder method. The animated GIF process is more powerful but takes more computational effort.
